🪷Settled In & Finding My Flow: E-commerce, Elephants, and the Enchantment of India

It's been a whirlwind few days, but I'm finally settling into my rhythm here. I'm back in my happy place, and diving headfirst into the exciting world of e-commerce for my .co.uk website (serving our UK customers) and my international Etsy store (.com).

My mornings are a dream. I wake up in my peaceful room, perched high with a breathtaking mountain view. The sounds of nature – birds chirping, gentle breezes rustling – accompany my morning coffee as I work on web updates and product listings. It's truly idyllic.

By midday, I shift gears and head to the factories. These visits are crucial for selecting new stock and working closely with the talented artisans who bring my visions to life. Afterwards, I take time to soak in the beauty of my surroundings, visit friends, and simply appreciate the magic of this place.

Each day brings new stock, carefully chosen and lovingly added to my online stores. My business model has evolved significantly since I started two years ago, and I'm constantly learning and adapting. Mastering Shopify has been a major highlight!

Honestly, my brain is buzzing with the challenges and rewards of e-commerce. Handling everything myself – from designing and selecting products to managing customer service – is incredibly satisfying. My existing clients are loving the behind-the-scenes glimpses I share on social media. I'm posting more photos and videos of the stunning scenery and vibrant culture that surrounds me.

"Sharing is caring," as the saying goes, and that's especially true for my Mum. Through Facebook and Instagram, she gets to experience the colors, celebrations, and warmth of India through my eyes. It's a way for me to bring a piece of this incredible place to her, no matter the distance.

Every time I come here, my batteries recharge. The feeling of gratitude and joy that fills me is something money simply cannot buy. It's a reminder to embrace "Carpe Diem" and follow your own unique path. Two years ago, I took a leap of faith, and this little business has blossomed into a true passion. Creating and bringing these beautiful, artisan-crafted treasures to others, while supporting the livelihoods of talented families, feels incredibly rewarding.

I'm so excited for what's to come! I'm hoping to tick off a few bucket list items this trip, including riding an elephant and perhaps even visiting the Golden Temple. Of course, I'll also be spending plenty of time nurturing my little boutique and sharing the beauty of India with you all.
